Come and join us for the international Great Cloth Diaper Change!
There will be goody bags, door prizes and it is a fantastic opportunity to meet other cloth nappy users in our community.
Eco Child is participating by hosting this event with the Sustainable Parenting Association to raise awareness about the health,
environmental and financial benefits of using modern cloth or reusable nappies.
We are very excited to bring together cloth nappy advocates from all over the Sunshine Coast to participate in a fun event connecting
cloth nappy users around the world. Please join us for this FREE event as we try to set a new Guinness World Record!
The whole family is welcome to come along, however only the nappy changer and baby will be permitted in the official change area,
so you will need to make sure there is an extra carer on hand for additional toddlers or children. Bring Dad, he will love it too and we
will have face painting in the fenced yard area to keep the kiddies entertained.
The event is being held at Milwell Rd Community Centre, Maroochydore... right next to the Sunshine Plaza Myers carpark entrance.
Tea and coffee will be available
The combined international Great Cloth Diaper Change events are already on their way to attempting to break last year’s
Guinness World Record™ of 8,251 cloth nappies changed at one time at 189 locations in eleven (11) countries.
This is the first time there has been an event on the Sunshine Coast and and we must have a minimum of 25 participants
in order to count towards breaking the current world record.
Guidelines for participation:
Child whose nappy will be changed must be 39 inches (99.1cm) or shorter.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult (one adult cannot change two or more children, each child must have a dedicated nappy changer!)
Each child must be changed into a cloth, reusable nappy that can be purchased online or at a shop. It does not matter what type of nappy a child arrives in.
At the start signal, all participants must remove their child’s nappy and properly put on a 100% reusable cloth nappy (there's no time limit; it's not a race!).
An official record photo will be taken before the change and after the change. No photos or videos are permitted to take place during the change. Photos and videos will be taken at other times during the event.
Like the GCDC Australia Facebook Page for updates and for more information about the Great Cloth Diaper Change World Record Events, have a look at the Great Cloth Diaper Change website.
Come and Celebrate the launch of Sustainable Parenting Association's MODERN CLOTH NAPPY LIBRARY!
Not doing anything this Wednesday 16th January at 10.00am??? PLEASE COME JOIN US!!!!
10.00am Milwell Rd Community Centre, Maroochydore
(at the Myers carpark entrance near Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore)
To Celebrate the launch of our Modern Cloth Nappy Library we have decided to host a Morning Tea with a prize pool giveaway and face painting with Claire in the Air acrobatic entertainment for kids and the young at heart!
Sunshine Coast parents are invited to trial cloth nappies without having to buy them, potentially saving thousands of dollars and the environment at the same time. And it’s not what you’d usually expect from a library, but parents are being given the chance to try modern cloth nappies before they buy.
Queensland’s first Community Modern Cloth Nappy Library, made possible through co-funding from Sunshine Coast Council’s Environment Levy and Eco Child, will be launched at Maroochydore by the Sustainable Parenting Association (SPA), a not-for-profit group set up to provide community education and support for parents making environmentally friendly parenting choices
Prizes will include:
5 x Free Hires valued at $100.00 each
A Manduca Baby Carrier valued at $159.95
3 x Ones & Twos nappies valued at $22.95 each
30 x Goodie Bags
This project has been assisted through the Sunshine Coast Council Grants Program.
We can’t wait for next Wednesday, Bring on our MCN Library!
Free Tea and Coffee on the day, and there will be some yummy snacks too!
There will be prize draws on the day too, so this is a Sustainable Parenting / Eco Child event not to miss! I hope you will share this event and join us on the day!!!
Where: Milwell Rd Community Centre, Milwell Rd, Maroochydore (near Myers carpark entrance)
Time: from 10.00 til 11.30am
Bring: Just yourselves (kids and bubs welcome), a sense of fun, your appetite and preparedness to learn about why Cloth is best!

Welcome to Eco online mother/baby nurturing page. In our store we have a weekly clinic with Megan, our Mothercraft Nurse that our mums have found invaluable. Megan is a triple certified RN, paediatric nurse and lactation consultant – we’d like to extend that support to our fabulous online mums by offering solutions & support with any feeding, settling, behavioural or sleeping issues you may be having.
Megan has 4 children of her own and has more experience than we have room to write about here!
Her experience with newborn waking patterns, settling techniques, feeding issues and developmental stages (coupled with a lovely caring manner) is a wealth of knowledge that should be shared!
